Tips or Use Width Guide

Height Restrictions: 9 times out of 10 - your job will have a restriction of some sort such as width or height.  Once you work out what the width will be, see our guide for optimal size of machine.
Help with Small Spaces: You need to check what restrictions you may have carefully – remember if the ground is not level where you need to get a machine through a gap, it will tilt to one side.
Obstructions: You need to check for underground obstructions.
Machine Sizes: It is usually best to try to get the biggest machine in that you can.
Boom Offsets: All our excavators except the 13 tonne have boom offset which will fold the boom up to 90 degrees left and 60 to the right - this reduces the slew radius in diameter.  It also allows parallel digging with fences and walls.
Zero Tail Swing: Look for our zero tail swing machines when working next to walls - no part of the machines tail can swing into anything.
Track Type: Consider track type - rubber wont mark mono block or paving but steels will.
Track Grip: Steels will grip better in soft or wet ground than rubber tracks.
Hammers and Accessories: All machines are piped for hammer and accessories - do you have a floor to break out or a wall to knock down?
